Molly Smith and Tom Clare’s Mallorca wedding: Love Island, Son Marroig and a night to remember

Son Marroig, Mallorca and a wedding that travelled much further than the island itself. This is how we experienced Molly and Tom’s celebration from inside the party.

Mallorca did the rest

Some weddings take place in a beautiful location. Others seem to belong there from the start. Molly Smith and Tom Clare’s was one of the second kind. The Love Island: All Stars 2024 winners chose Son Marroig, between Deià and Valldemossa, to celebrate with family and friends in Mallorca.

We were lucky enough to be part of that night. When you are there working behind the camera, you tell the story differently: through what happens between photographs and the way the party grows, group by group.

Son Marroig: a setting that needs very little explanation

The temple, the Mediterranean, the Tramuntana mountains and Mallorca’s light do much of the work. The wedding’s aesthetic — whites, neutral tones and pale flowers — worked with the landscape rather than competing with it.

Planning and coordination were handled by Talia at Talia Bell Events. It was a genuine pleasure to work with her and her team: everything was cared for, coordinated and easy to follow.

From the ceremony look to the party

Molly arrived at the ceremony in a bridal look made for a setting like Son Marroig. Later she changed into a second dress, more fitted and ready for the night. The change completely shifted the visual energy of the celebration.

We are not attributing either dress to a designer because we do not have that detail confirmed. We would rather tell what we know and let Chelsea White’s photographs do the rest.

The photobooth was part of the aesthetic too

For Molly and Tom we prepared a very clean setup: a white backdrop, white carpet and both colour and black-and-white photography. The idea was simple: make the installation fit the wedding and keep the guests at the centre.

Colour keeps the energy of the party. Black and white adds a more editorial finish. Two ways to remember the same night, without disguising it or adding elements it did not need.

Familiar faces among the guests

Several familiar Love Island faces were also among the guests: Casey O’Gorman, Tom’s best man, Sophie Piper, Josh Ritchie, Mitch Taylor and Hayley Griffin.

More than a list of recognisable names, they were friends and people close to the couple. That showed in the way they enjoyed the night, mixed with everyone else and let themselves go in front of the camera.

From inside the photobooth

The party is part of the story too.

When the photobooth becomes the meeting point

First a couple steps in. Then they come back with friends. Someone suggests another round and, before you know it, groups have several completely different photographs. That is exactly what happened at Son Marroig: the photobooth became a place guests kept returning to throughout the party.

Molly and Tom were also a genuine pleasure to work with: warm, relaxed and fully present in their wedding. That attitude shows in the images and in the atmosphere around the setup.

A very Mallorca destination wedding

Molly and Tom’s wedding captures why Mallorca remains such a sought-after destination for international weddings: Son Marroig, the Mediterranean, the Tramuntana mountains and a celebration that brings together people who have travelled from elsewhere.

Many destination weddings do not end when the ceremony does. They become a journey around the wedding — and, for those of us working in them, a chance to be part of a story that continues long after the last photograph.

Thank you, Molly & Tom

For us, this is one of those weddings worth remembering: the setting, the way the setup looked, the energy of the party and how easy it was to work with the whole team.

We are keeping a beautiful wedding, people having a brilliant time and a photobooth that never stopped. Molly & Tom, thanks for having us. 🤍
